Our History
The Berean Baptist Church has a long history in Bunker Hill, IL. It was originally established in 1840 as the Baptist Church of Bunker Hill. After reorganization in 1858 it was given its current name and began its growth from a small group with no land, building, or missionary budget to a thriving church family with a beautiful, spacious facility and a budget that includes generous support for over twenty-five missionaries, several of whom are families from Berean’s own membership. The Lord has truly blessed Berean Baptist Church’s 168 years of faithful ministry by bringing many to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and establishing a strong group of faithful believers.
Our Fellowship
The Berean Baptist Church is in fellowship with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC) nationally, the Illinois-Missouri (IL-MO) Association of Regular Baptist Churches regionally, and the churches of the Mississippi Valley Pastor’s Fellowship locally.
